It has been well over a year since my last journal entry and I've got some pretty big news! I've been spending the past year or so looking for a place to call my own. The search was crazy - I had visited maybe a half-dozen homes but most of the ones that were affordable were in just terrible condition. Seeing so many crummy places one after another had me feeling pretty miserable. It wasn't until about a month ago that I finally found a place, and it was a doozy. The seller had taken a job in another state and offered the place up fully furnished, so I jumped on it. The home-buying experience was really nerve-racking, since everyone involved were basically silent for most of the time. It wasn't until we closed on the 20th last month when I got my keys that I could calm down.
Last weekend I moved in with the help of my Mom, Uncle, and a friend. During the middle of the move, my new neighbor from the condo below me scared the crap out of us. Apparently the seller had a longstanding problem with the plumbing that was only recently resolved, with one exception - My toilet leaked into the unit below . At that point I was absolutely terrified, having moved most of my belongings already, wondering weather I would have to tear apart my new home to resolve the issue. Luckily, with my Uncle and my Dad's help, we were able to fix the problem.
Now I'm finally getting settled in. Things are mostly moved and unpacked. Here, I feel like I can actually work on stuff with little distraction and with greater privacy. There was no way I could get anything done at my Mom's place (She or my sister would call on me for help every time I was in the middle of something. I couldn't even go to the bathroom without being called on.). Here, my hands are free.
Here's to taking up a pen and drawing again!

Gallery Raided. Let the tears commense!
Well this is an absolute first for me. I was browsing my message box to find that 15 of my drawings had been taken down due to a policy violation. All of these were Code Lyoko fan-art from the Huge Problems collection.
I am aware of DeviantArt's policy, and have been so since I began drawing these. When I started drawing them, I was very light hearted about it and had originally intended it to be a running gag. I thought 'Hey, I can keep drawing these so long as I never cross a certain line. It will just be a fun little joke.' Well, it looks like the joke is over. I don't know what to do about it.

Graduated and Happily Employed
Hello, everyone.
I just thought I'd write a quick entry today.
I'm all done with school now, having graduated in May 2013, and I now have a Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science. I didn't manage to complete the requirements for the Honor's college, but I'm not too disappointed about it (It was just distracting me from my core classes and driving me nuts). I narrowly missed having the Honors designation of 'Cum Laude' by .08 points.
It took a few months and a lot of failed interviews, but I finally have a job. I started out as a web development intern beginning in September, but was later brought on full time after two months. I'm pretty ha
Long time no update...
Greetings Deviants,
Well it's been nearly a year since my last journal update and a lot has happened. Most of my ideas from last year had either been side-tracked to flushed down the toilet due to school (School-work was frantic this past year). My Capstone project ended (semi-)successfully in the Fall, and I finished up my Bachelors in Science in the Spring. That's as far as I'll be going with school, so now I'm looking for my first full-time job. Interviewing for work is definitely a new experience for me. The business world is a little intimidating because most companies are searching for either seasoned professionals or people who have e
Summer Job and Idea for Video Game
Hello everyone. So far this summer I have been unable to find a part-time job. I don't know what it is, but no one seems to be hiring for even the most menial jobs. However, I have managed to land an extern-ship with the computer department at the courts downtown, so they'll be keeping me busy for the rest of the summer. I wish it was a paid position... but oh well.
I'm feeling a bit creative at the moment. I just recently got the chance to read some of my programming books which had been laying around for maybe a year or so. Specifically, I've started reading the book XNA Unleashed. Although the book is now out-dated, It has given me
